The custom home process

When building your custom home, you have the opportunity to create a space that will serve you in the way you need it to. We work directly with Architects and Designers who will work with you to discover what you need within your home.

Building a custom home is going to require a custom design! This stage of the process includes the design of your home, house construction material sourcing and budgeting, preliminary scheduling and permitting.

Whether you are already working with an architect or are just beginning your process we are able to help. Bringing on a builder early in the design process will ensure that the design and construction of your new home flow seamlessly together. If you are just beginning your search for an architect, we have aligned ourselves with industry leading architectural designers and would love to connect you.

Once the pre-construction of your home is completed as well as development and building permits approved we are able to start your new house construction. You are provided with a construction schedule before your project starts and we keep you updated of any changes in timing or material. The construction of your home is held to the Ravenwood standard of building, which makes us one of the top quality home builders in Calgary and the surrounding area.

After your home is complete that isn't the end of our relationship. Ravenwood stays with you for the duration of your warranty through Progressive Home Warranty and ensures any issues that may occur are dealt with properly. We hand over all construction documentation and material information to you for your records.

Putting the right people in place, asking the proper questions and providing the best experience and know-how is what we do best.  We are not daunted by the unexpected!

We realize it takes a lot of trust and faith to get started, and we hope by mapping out the steps that we’ll guide you on will provide reassurance, and allow you to feel the excitement about your home & future.
